Don't assume just because it's a new ignition amp module that it isn't that. Unless it's a genuine part it could still be crook. Also check the wire that connects power to the positive terminal of the coil. Make sure the terminal is tight. Wire a test light to it so you can see the light when you operate the ignition key. If the light remains on during cranking then its probably the amp module. That is why I won't use the Lucas type ever again, too unreliable.
