    Help with new ecu

Hey guys i just installed a tombie reflashed ecu in the fender and changed the injector codes and security codes. now the car starts and runs fine, however it has all the fault codes under the sun listed. now im not really game to take it for a spin just yet, has anyone else experienced this problem?

here are the codes it has listed. now soem of them are just crap cos the car is a manual and it even has an auto fault listed. now my old ecu doesn't have any of these listed, well maybe a few air con ones but thats it

Have you cleared all codes to see what comes back or are those listed what is left?

yeah mate, that was what i thought, that they must be old codes, but when i cleared em they all came back.
might go try it again though
surely the car would struggle running with that much going on

Should still run as the ECU will just run on its default settings for all the sensors - I have only experienced that on my Freelander - runs Ok - just no power and not as economical as it could be.

Good luck with it - sorry I cannot help with the specific issue - maybe Tombie has come across this before.

Yeah this is a common problem with the earlier models i see you have a 2000 defender these came out originaly with a MSB ecu and your engine is a 10p now you are using a NNN ecu which is set up for a 15p engine these faults will be logged continuesly there is a way to combat this chat with Tombie he will be able to fix it i am sure
this fault list should not do any damage to your vechicle but it is your call to drive it or not
    Cheers

yeah faults are definately logged there, cleared em on the computer and nancom and still came back.

also tested all these faults using nanocom and everything worked.

    still pulling my hair out

So sounds like i am still screwed. Got a remapped ecu to improve performance not degrade it.

Hi mate, I know there are some differences, but if you have parted with your original MSB, I have D2 MSB ECU which you can borrow if you need to send the NNN ECU to Tombie for trouble shooting. It might keep you going till you get this sorted.

    cheers
