[QUOTE=loanrangie;1443437]It can and has been done here in vic , RRute (formerly mickrangie) converted his 93 rrc ute into a D1 and fitted the entire D1 dash and interior into his rrc cab shell. QUOTE]

So that's where mickrangie went then...

I knew he had started the job, but thought he ended up turning the disco into a ute to reduce the engineering hassle of not only having the ute conversion but also the diesel conversion into the rr to deal with. It was a long time ago now.

Technically he did trun the disco into a ute as he just used the already uted RRC shell and added the disco doors, dash, interior etc to it.

    Disco dash on RRC

    Hi Trobbo,

For the life of me I've seen it But can't remember where.

It was a 4 door RRC and the photo's showed a full Disco dash from series 2 fitted complete with seats with the trimming of the door panels to suit

Was an excellent conversion and I do remember me saying "BUT WHY" as there would have been a lot of work involved in the process.

I have a 1982 RRC and have toyed with the idea of replacing the back seat with the rear seat of the later model 4 door but this would involve altering the floor pan as the shape is diffrent to the later model 4 door RRC.

Still if you do decide to head down that track don't forget to post some photo's.

    Cheers,

    Baggy
