Thread: D2 auto shifter

Has anyone pulled a D2 auto shifter apart or removed the centre console assembly? Is it basically just a big switch or is there a cable/mechanical connection to the gearbox?

I'd like to retrofit the whole new shifter assembly into my D1. Some pics would be hugle appreciated.

Hey Joel, The gear lever is attached to the gearbox physically & is mechanical. I've taken out the centre console, the T-bar comes off with a swift upright pull. No pics of it & hopefully someone else can let you know whether you can retro fit to the D1.
