3.9L Air flow meter advice.
Hi,
The auto electrician has located the misfiring problem on my 1990 3.9L to a faulty afm.
What are my options for replacment? and prices!?!?!?
Its a Hitachi/ Lucas afm it has the numbers 73242A and AFM 55-1 and says 3AM Air Flow Meter.
Cheers.

Get onto ebay and there are second hand ones available or there are new chinese also listed in Oz UK and USA.
For a lark I looked up Atlantic British in USA and a genuine is $1995.
AFAIK the MAF out of a late 80s 3.6 or 4.0 jag are also the same.
You should get a second hand one for under $100.
There is also a ECU reconditioner in Sydney called something like Australian Car Computers who could reco yours if offered your first born.
Regards Philip A.
