Cold start problems with my 2003 disco

Every morning my 2003 auto disco has a problem......it goes up our steep driveway fine (90%) of the time...but 200 metres down the road it decides that it doesnt really want to run...this lasts about 5 seconds then it is perfect for the rest of the day.....any ideas???

Oil in the injector harness would be the first thing to check (common fault)

Pull the red plug off the ECU, if there is oil on the plug or ECU, then that's your problem.

Now if you are talking V8 I would suspect fouled up O2 sensors. When they first warm up a bit the condensation from combustion leaks the heater voltage to the element and the ECU tries to keep leaning off the mixture. Then it dries and functions normally. Needs new sensors if the mileage is high.
