Rover Inlet Manifold with 2 Barrel Mod

    Hello All
Have a rover v8 manifold which looks to me as if someone cut down and put on a plate to take a 2 barrel manifold . My question is does this mod work ok and could I put a 2 bbl to 4 bbl adaptor on it and then a Carter Afb /Edelbrock/Weber on it . This is not on the vehicle ,it came with a motor I bought to rebuild (strip and leave in bits in the shed ) !
    Thanks Garfy

Just put a 350 two barrel on it, that's quite enough to peak rev it.

A Carter AFB will feed two of them.

Sorry shoulda said, 350 Holley. Very popular conversion for road use.

As bee utey said. the 350 Holley . which is a 2 barrel is plenty good enough for a 3.5 for road use , however its pretty hopeless for offroad use unless you want to modify the float system , bowl breathers and chase vac leaks through the throttle shafts ,
I used to fit a 38mm DGMS Weber , far superior to the holley or the next best was off the XE XF falcoon , a 32-36 progressive weber .The only good thing about the Holley was it was Cheap !! although I did have the 500CFM 2 barrel Holley on 5 litre (4.4 p76 re-linered) but the mods needed to make it run offroad like center hung floats, extended breathers , weber metering blocks with ajustable mains and idle jets etc etc (still ended up best on 2 2 inch SU's !!!)
Moral of the story , dont underestimate the original OEM Twin 175CD setup . it will do the job better than any Holley !!
