Thread: 93 Disco 200Tdi power steering leak

Hi,

My power steering is leaking badly. I'm looking at possibly ordering a replacement unit from eBay UK (miles cheaper than here).

I have two questions, I do my own servicing and can handle a spanner but would by no means classify myself as an expert.

1 - How hard is it changing the seals as they have a full kit for $40 or so?

2 - Has anyone come across this before and any ideas if it could work ? Power Steering Rack for LANDROVER DISCOVERY Stop Leak on eBay (end time 17-Dec-10 13:49:49 GMT)

Not sure it just leaks from the bottom of the metal surround. for $16 I'm going to try the Lucas Power Steering stop leak. Can't lose much.
