TD5 Oil Cooler Matrix

Whats the matrix made from???
Never seen a TD5 one but any other block mounted matrix is made from stainless steel so corrosion is never an issue, it's the housings that leak being made from relatively low grade die cast alloy like thermo housings etc.

stainless, and its the matrix that corrodes, apparently some form of electrolosys exists that eats the stainless away

Andrew the oil cooler is a problem on the Td5.
Pulling mine over Xmas for a look see.
Will let you know how it looks.May have to do the Deefer too if its bad news.
