    V8 Heads , Testing

    Hello All
Have some V8 Heads and wondered if by pouring water down the inlet and the exhaust (carefully and separately ) if water doesnt get past the valves then they should be okay . Sorry if I come across as a complete wally but was reading my Range Rover Restoration manual and after they had rebuilt the heads they did exactly that with degreaser . I tried one of them and no water got past the valves .
    Thanks Garfy

Kero or diesel is best, water has too much surface tension/ viscosity.
