    Engine rattle,,,

    all of a sudden,,
at around 2K I can make it rattle,,
can do it in park, in neutral, and at 2K on the road,,

    sounds like,, pinging,
    noise increases with revs,
wont do it straight up from idle, requires a few revs,

and now idles poorly, and too low,

maybe a small amount of fluid loss,,,

would an O2 sensor or MAF failure cause piston rattle?

or is it that other thing,,,

    how many ks?

check all the securing bolts on the pulleys on under the belts.

if its got a mechanical dizzy back the timing of a couple of degrees and still if its still doing it.

add .5l or so of a slightly thicker engine oil (20-50) and see what that does for you.

    Hey Pedro
Slice 3 slugs off it and it would be a normal sound
Are you getting the same noise on LPG and fuel??? That would be the first test to eliminate bad fuel.

    if its dual fuel....

check the oil for petrol contamination...

That would be bad, very very bad.

oh and I might change the description from above--

when driving the rattle is always there, in varying degrees, above 1500rpm,,
changed the oil (at 5am, in the rain) this morning, used some HPR30 I had left over from the D1, no difference,
did Ricks oil contamination drip test and theres no second ring,,
refilled the ulp tank with 98, no difference,
