    My 3.5 V8 has ceased to run

    It is a carby model. There are voltages in all the right places but there is no spark. I'm suspecting the electronic ignition is stuffed. (Either the sensor or the box of electronics.)
    What electronic ignition system do you use and recommend?

    What year? If it the type with the clear plastic cover inside covering a star shaped rotor and magnetic pickup, my electronic fix will work. Otherwise a complete 3.5/3.9 EFI dissy up to 1994 will fit with its coil.

    I take it that link is to a bosch electronic ignition system?
    I'll read the thread later. Might pop out to inspect the installation.

    The post is about how to replace the (relatively unreliable) Lucas electronic amplifier and replace it with a (very reliable) Bosch one. Your distributor remains the same so long as it is the right type. With a suitable parts source it can be done for around $100.
