    are V8 starters interchangeable with 300TDI?

    Guys, just wondering if my purchased new Marrelli Starter/solenoid for my 84-85 RRC, will also fit the 300 TDI as I seem to have a solenoid problem in our 94 tdi disco.

    John, I think it is possibly NOT interchangeable, I am guessing here though, but there is a bit more to it like the length of throw when energized etc.
