    Why have another part hanging down??? There is no need for extra capacity!!!! If it was a known problem then many more guys would have done it. Can you name a comp guy that runs one??? I can't.

    There is if you do a lot of towing in warm conditions. A number of Td5 owners who tow boats & such have fitted this, helps to keep the t-case cool.

    It doesn't hang down. It is level with the lowest point on the T-case.

    Yeah, and comp trucks don't haul heavy trailers around Australia either.... an increased volume of a lubricant means the componant will in turn run cooler as well. And it will not hang down any futher because there is a dirty great cross member in the way. So yes, they are a worthwile modification if you wish to tow.
