    Wipers won't Work When Wet

    Hello All
My 73 RRC's Windscreen wipers seem to give up when wet and once dry after a day or two resume play . This must be electrical so any tips on how I might waterproof these puppies .
    Thanks for any help

Someone may have something more specific but I'd imagine you'd need to look under the deck panel (between the windscreen & bonnet) at the wiper motors and connections. Unless you're getting water behind the dash which is playing with the electricals for the wipers (probably unlikely because you'd notice wet feet!! ), I would have thought that's where your issue would be.

Bit of a pain though because you need to remove the bonnet to remove the decker panel. That's what's delaying me getting mine off and regreasing spindles, etc and checking a non-parking issue.

Like I said, someone might have more detailed info but it's place to start.

Why do you want to use them when it is dry.
    Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Pull the fuses, give them and the contacts a clean and see how you go first. Only take 5 mins.

Don't let the D2 owners know there are only 5 in the box though. 2 are spare I believe.

    cheers, David L

    Thanks Boys

Will check the fuses first ( i thought there is only 3 ) then go from there , I'm hoping I don't have to remove the bonnet to get to the gubbins , If I do that I might as well make a mould and make one out of fibreglass while I'm at it !

    Thanks Again
