    chronic missing 3.9

so got the dizzy and coil wet on Sunday. brake cleaner got it all running sweet. took it home cleaned it all down gave it a good blow out with compressor and coated it with crc water displacer stuff. put it all back together but today it started missing very badly.

motor revs nicely when in neutral
motor doesn't rev and misses a lot under load.
i've tryed the pull one lead at a time to find it but it idles fine so thats not working
rotor seemed a little burt as did the points in the cap?

    any advice would be great

    its in a 91 3.9 range rover

a little bit out there, perhaps the cool water got to a plug and it developed a fault, ie a hairline crack... that can cause misfiring under load... has happened on my D2

As PhilipA says, more condensation. Hair dryer to the dissy, take the clear plastic cover off first. This always happens after a drowning! And blow dry the cap and lead ends. Leave off the crc, a good polish with a clean rag is better for the cap. CRC attracts dirt that holds moisture when the crc finally evaporates.

ok so got new leads and plugs and its firing fine seems to be still missing when your foot is just on the gas. so I've tested all the sensors, and it seems that the tps is having a laps.

1v at closed and 5.2v everywhere else in the way to wide open. so I'm assuming that this is wrong and it should have a smooth gradual climb in voltage from closed to open.

so the question now would a faulty tps be enough for it to over fuel and cause it to miss? its fine if your hard up it throttle wide open and fine at idle its just in-between
