    04 Rangie TD6 fuel problem.

I'm trying to fix an engine problem with my 04 RR L322 TD6. It was running fine for the previous owner, then it ran rough and stalled in traffic. He took it to the closest dealer who promptly changed the fuel pump, but this didnt fix the problem. The dealer then sudgested the turbo, but i find this hard to believe as it doesnt even fire up. I plugged in my snapon scanner today and checked the codes. Engine ecu low voltage, and somthing about glow plugs.

The battery was flat (12v) so i charged it and cleared the faults. They didnt return. I removed the air inlet and held a petrol fume rag infront (works similar to aerostart on a diesel) and it fires but you can tell that their is no fuel going in. I checked the fuel preasure phisically (puled the hose off after the filter) and electrically - scanner said 3.6 Bar, which sounds about right). This drops down to under 1 bar after 30 secconds. I unplugged N0 1 injector and this logged a code, so they are all still talking to the ecu. I checked the glow plug relay - putting out 12v, so thats ok. The only thing i havent checked is the condition of the fuel itself. Anything else would leave a fault code i think.....

    Any thoughts??

Give the MAF a good clean, does it blow smoke?,what color is it?.Does it start easily with the rag over the intake?,climb underneath and remove the bash guard and see if the I/C hoses are on,they come off easily if they aren't fitted correctly. Pat

I dont think its the maf, as they still run without it. It is not getting any fuel to the engine, or what its getting isnt fuel.
I checked the pipes, they arent collapsed/ off.
