    Engine Upgrade

    Hi

Wondering what options are available to upgrade the engine in my TDi300 Twin Cab. Now towing a camper trailer and find that it is lacking power.

    Thanks

Diesel gas enhancement, around 25% power increase, just fit an EGT gauge and keep an eye on it.

Depends on how much power you want and how much work you want to do.

On this forum you will find that people have transplated GM LS engines as are used in the recent commodores and OS in things like corvettes. Diesel 3.9 isuzu engines, 350 chev etc.

Some options will not be available to you due to emission laws.

Patience is a virtue. Are you in a hurry?

    Start with:

    Larger Intercooler
    Larger free flow exhaust
    Tuned to suit (fuelling adjustments)

Thanks, I was wondering whether it was possible to put a larger engine in, so that is something I will investigate further. Not so much in a hurry, in fact quite the contrary, however the vehicle is quite heavy in its current configuration and with the TVAN it is struggling on the hills.....

    Cheers

plumb in a fitting, shift a couple of tubes uprate the intercooler and put in a bigger exhaust add EGT + Boost guages and then tweak the pump.

a stock tdi300 can be made to push out the same power as a base spec td5.
