TD5 oil gallery plugs - under timing cover and bell housing

Gurus on these plugs are implored to speak, see drawing items 6 and 9. Now I've seen the location under the bell housing I see it is not threaded. OK OK I hear you say just plug it. Well LR haven't imported them so there's a little problem with supply but more importantly it is knowledge - my horrible thought is - could the one under the timing cover be unthreaded too. That's hell because it means that the front plug may have been pulled when the block was bored and not replaced in the machine shop either!!! That might mean I have to take the engine out again after already removing the gearbox. I remember under the timing cover I put in a set screw with a socket allen head which might have been a plug but didn't hammer a welch plug in that's for certain.

Briefly, I'd like to know (from anyone familiar with things under the timing cover) whether the oil gallery plug is threaded or not. If not, it's probably open and oil would fire out into my timing cover but I won't know until I put things back on and start the engine again when the oil gauge would stay red.

    Any helpful advice please ...
