    D1 aircon drains

Where are the buggers, never cleaned mine but seam to remember reading they are at the front of the tunneleither side of the bell housing. Are they rubber tubes or a pressed section in the metal/panel work
    cheers

From memory they are small rubber nipple-like things and they are one of those things that you can see or feel - but not both at the same time!!
At the fwd end of the trans tunnel as you suggested.

I will vouch for removing the bung section too, unless you like wet carpet! (Both of my D1's have had wet passenger floors until they were removed).

I have a theory, (with no actual facts to back it up )

After time the bung bit hardens and doesn't open anymore allowing the water to build up and wet your carpet (often in the middle first to really frustrate you!). I have tried cleaning them to no avail, in the end removal of the bung section fixed it
