I just scored some extractors on ebay for my 2A, picking them up on Monday and will be in Melbourne. I was hoping to pick up enough 2 1/4" exhaust bits to complete the job myself. Any views out there on cheapest exhaust suppliers in Vic and muffler options for such a set up on the 2.25l petrol engine.
Also..any known issues with running extractors in that vehicle? They have a sensor point? I'll ask the owner but whats it for?

Cheers.
I used these guys on recommendation from Ray ( Hiline)
2 pretty funny characters one of them is always grumpy, no bull****, no fancy workshop, work in shorts on hot days, don't mind having hot molten metal around falling on them whilst in shorts.
Have got a few things done by them in the past and prices were pretty good.
I got a Holden V8 muffler made up for my V8 disco as he reckon the Land rover ones were too dear.. As I said not fancy showroom stuff here, but honest workers.

Cool, Thanks. Cause my landy isn't rolling yet I can't really take anywhere to get an exhaust fitted (I'm 500kms from melb, a little too far to car trailer it just for an exhaust). I'm looking for a place I can walk in, check out a hugh range of parts and buy a bunch of bits to take home and fit myself??
Surely there is someone .5 decent down the Valley? Traralgon? Morwell? Saves you half the fuel!

if your looking for a showroom to browse along shelves, then these are not the guys. , their office is about 1.8 x 1.80 mt square, the showroon is a pile of rusted and mangled piles of pulled out mufflers and bent pipes in a pile. They are in the replacing exhaust business, you go in , they order it in within the hour fit it and your on your way. No show pony systems hanging off shelves for time wasters to ponder over.![]()
Buy some 6-8mm mild steel rod, and bend it to the centreline of your exhaust line. Then take it to an exhaust shop and get them to copy it in pipe. Minor adjustments you can do afterwards with a slip joint or cut-and-weld. I do this for special tail pipes all the time.
