Does look like good value but not something that can be stored under a seat and left in place permanently.

    Cheers

I'm leaning toward the Kincrome kit as I will place it in the side pocket of the D2. Other tools will go in the recovery box that sits on the other side of the cargo area. Not everyone has that luxury.

I have been looking for something for years but the only complete units are quite cheap and not really up to the work required in an emergency.

Amongst other tools I carry on trips is a 600mm chrome vanadium knuckle bar in 1/2" drive.
This makes undoing tight wheel nuts etc a breeze.
It also gets a regular work out removing and refitting the single 46 mm rear wheel nut on my Triumph motorcycle.
They are easy to find at swap meets and are not costly.

I carry my tools in a MSA ultimate tool roll, and then just carry a socket set in its own carry case

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

This roll holds heaps of spanners, screwdrivers, pliers, and many other thing, and rolls up nice and neat and can be carried by the soft handle grip..It all rolls together with 2 big velcro straps.

I took a pic so you can see it unrolled compared to the D3 wheel.

Used these on the canning trip and where tool boxes have sharp corners etc these fit in those out of way places in the car and can be carried easily to any part of the car or another..

Plus they hold heaps of tools...

The tools I use are SP and I targeted the specific spanners relivant to my D2 and got them just before an end of financial year on sale and offered even less than the sale price..

thats the combo that I use and am just going thru the D3 to find if there are any size spanners that I dont have..

    Cheers Ean

The SP catalogue has a nice 60 piece kit that looks like it would fill the need of the OP. Be interesting to see what the price is for it.

There are a couple of other plastic/poly something boxes as well as canvas bag kits etc.

Decided I would do likewise as I have a good socket set and will get the tool roll made up to complement it.

    Thanks Ean.
