    d2 intercooler upgrade

Done the egr, now need some advice on upgrading the intercooler on 1999 d2. Thank you for any input, Bob

Just doing the intercooler and the EGR won't do much to the power or torque, unless you do other things along with it, like a chip, increasing the turbo boost and so on.

It will run a little cooler, be a tad more responcive though, get some silicon hoses as well.

ASEturbo in SA sell them for around $1100 delivered.

TD5Alive have the silicon hoses and intercooler for $830 + postage to Aust.

You have to specify if you TD5 is auto or manual.

    Cheers Baz.

Thanks Redback, my plan is one step at a time, egr done, next step intercooler, fit egt gauge, record temps. over a period of time, maf, exhaust, then perhaps chip . I dont profess to fully understand the technical details of a remap, but I am slowly learning. My ultimate aim is to have my disco ready in 2 years to do some serious touring, with some offroad work. [ 2 years fits my budget] Bob
