"Honey, I gotta do a suspension lift...."
After much indecision I sold the 235/85-16s MTs off my D1 to me old man for his Triton. Replaced them with a set of 265/75-16 Simex copies. Not sure if it's because they're a remanufactured tyre or not but they are MUCH bigger than the old set, they just fit in the front arch. Its such a tight fit I can only just get a single finger in the rear edge. Has anyone ever heard of doing a front camel cut? I can also see they're going to trash the guards on the uplift, and lowering the bumpstops IMO defeats the purpose of fitting larger tyres anyway.
With flares it'll look ridiculous when I'm running everyday stock tyres. Gah! Very frustrating!
I suppose the next stop is Body Lift time, is there bolt-on-ready-to-go brackets to lift the rear bumper and ARB bullbar?

If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
Well, you could do the lift.
Or you could sell the tyres.
Or you could just buy a Defender and get on with it.![]()
