I have run and have just refitted 33" 12.5 R15 BFG ATs
GOOD rubber a bit prone to punchers.
any way no probs running the new rubber on the back. keep them there until they equal out a bit before rotating them
To cut a long story short. I bought a second hand set of 285/75 Goodrich All Terrains
The have a tread depth of approx. 8mm.
I wrecked one offroad so being a bit tight I bought 2 new ones; so that I have two matching on the front and two matching on the rear
The new ones have a tread depth of 13mm
Will this slight difference in tread depth have a detrimental affect on my transfer case ie. excessive wind up?
Should I go out and buy two more so I have a complete matching set or will I get away with it?
Thanks

should be ok, would just be like going round corners constantly!

In the past I have measured speedo error many times along a particular 150km piece of road, and never noticed any difference between new and worn tyres. The thing to remember is that the tyres' steel belts are what determine the rolling diameter, and that does not change with wear. The effect of tread blocks distorting under load is insignificant.
Try and find a trye size calculator and see if they have new and worn values. Bet they don't.
you shouldnt have any problems with wind-up unless you lock the centre diff.....
which you shouldnt do on the black stuff......
so you shouldnt have any problems or worries.......
No worries thanks for all the replies
