    Dual batteries

I have just finished wiring up my Dual battery in my defender with a USI- 160 Isolator from Traxide. Which has worked out fantastic? (Thanks Tim)

But my question is: What is the best battery’s to use.

(I will require 2 to replace my old one which is a wet cell one)

I have been looking at the following

    Optima D34 Yellow top 55amp 750cca
    Exide ORB34Dc 55amp 750cca
    Allrounder MEV 70 amp 105 760cca

I will be running a Waco 50lit fridge/freezer, Winch, UHF CB, GPS, mobile phone, lights & other bits and pieces.
I would appreciate any help that I can get as I have now got myself confused.
(So any help would be great)

Thanks for taking the time to read this

    Regards
    James

    Me too.

While the Optima and the Orbital will allow for quicker recharging, the very size of the total battery capacity will nullify that advantage, so the Allrounders are a far wise choice.

    Thanks Tim,
I have now decided to go for the Allrounder MRV70, amp 105 760cca,
and now all I have to do is to work out how to fit them in under the seat. It looks like I might be in luck.

I have your USI-160and it was so easy to fit Thanks for this great unit I will recommend this unit to all my friends.

    Thanks, Regards James (Hamjam)
