Mojo/ Sean, If you are on the Nthside i can give you a hand.
Redcliffe car Electrics (Just down from MR) do all of MRs rebuilds and have the contacts for ~$45 if you can't find them locally.
PM if I can help.
PS, It's worth taking the Starter out and rebuilding on the bench, unless you have a hoist.
Cheers Dave.

Thanks again for the info guys.
Dave, I'm on the southside, but thanks for the offer. I do get the Fender serviced at MR, so if I don't get around to having a crack at it myself, then it may well end up with you at its next service!
Cheers

Sean, I think you may have mis-understood. I don't work for the sparkys, but used them for parts and then the full rebuild (Worth getting a quote from them!!)
I live about 10 minutes from there.
Cheers, Dave.

So, after ignoring this problem for the last couple of months, it's now got to the point where the old girl won't start at all.
I thought I might be able to have a crack at changing the solenoid contacts myself, but having got as far as removing the leads I'm not really sure what to do next?
I've had a look at RAVE, but it only has instructions for replacing the entire starter motor. If someone would be able to give me a step by step idiots guide to changing a solenoid contact, I'd be extremely greatfull!
Cheers

Did you check Ebay for the solenoid kit???
