    TD5 sump plug thread size

    Hi all
Would anyone happen to know the thread size for a TD5 sump plug?
I'll have to buy a helicoil kit to suit before I pull out the bodgied up sump plug.
    Regards Stevo
Please only reply if you actually know the size. I already know it appears to be around 16 or17mm dia and either 1.25 or1.5 mm threads

    Smile Worked for me

Yes it is, so I found out and have now replaced the thread perfectly with a helicoil kit.

Interested to know if your helicoil repair sealed properly? I had a stripped sump thread, took the sump off, a mchine shop drilled it out to 16.5mm for the helicoil, in went the insert, on went the sump, out comes the oil! Grrrrrr.... By the way for anyone else looking the Td5 sump plug is 16 mm, 1.5 taper.
