    engine conversion problem!

Hi i'm in the middle of a conversion i'm putting a holden 304 into my 1997 se7 landrover discovery i'm going to be running my origanal zf 4speed which i have had strengthened up but when i put the holden up to the gearbox i am about 20mm away from the bellhousing?

I'm using the marks 4wd kit.

My question is where there two different converters that came out in the 3.9lt?

anyhelp would be great thanks i would ring marks up but they are not back till next monday and i'm wanting to get it sorted by then!

    Thanks Adam

Are you quite certain you have pushed the torque converter fully home to engage all the different drive bits? 20mm is about the length of the oil pump drive.

I had to remove the spigot bush in the end of the crank of a 350 to put an auto trans in.

From memory it was about that deep.

    cheers, DL
