    Stage 1 4BD1 into 1984 V8 County

    G'day everyone,

    Does anybody know of the legalities in regards to implanting a 4BD1 from a Stage 1 into a 1984 V8 County? I know the V8 to 4BD1 conversion is possible, but I am unsure of the ruling when it comes to implanting older motors into newer vehicles.

    As long as the motor meets the ADRs for 84 it should be OK.
    Does the motor have a sticker on the rocker cover stating the ADR it complies with? My old 85 County did, but I can't remember what number it is.
    The 4BD1 was used by both Land Rover and Isuzu much later than that.
