could it be connected in series with a flux capacitor?

No, no no...where you gents (you unbelievers) are going wrong is that you are bashing it with no research...now...if you look at the FAQ section of his ebay section you would find all revealed and also your questions answered (please excuse the Chinglish):

    "#
How can it just connect to the battery to help combustion!?
jpnona : This is our design. Just connect to the battery. This is also designed for all buyers to install the item by themselves easily.
    #
Can I use it in a hybrid car?
jpnona : Gasoline + LPG hybrid : OK
    Gasoline + Diesel : OK
Gasoline + Electric : NG in electric mode.
Eco car : I think you don't need any fuel saver.
    #
How many items do I need for a twin 12v battery car?
jpnona : Just one. Please connect to the full-time battery. No change if you connect to the standby battery. You can ask your car dealer which battery is the full-time battery.
    #
Can I use it in a 24v car?
jpnona : No, it is for 6-12v vehicles only.
    #
How to buy multiple items and save the postage?
jpnona : Every listings has 1 items only. Please purchase multiple item in our listings.
You can amend the invoice after you placed the orders. Some eBay buyers may not be allowed to do that. Please continue the payment. We will then refund the excess postage to you immediately.
    #
Can I use with other fuel saver?
    jpnona : Actually possible.
    #
My car is a very old one.......
jpnona : The older your car, the better in result.
But not for very old diesel vehicles because old diesel engine does not need electricity almost)"

    ...see all revealed.

    Cheers

I think we should all pray for the unwary in the hope that they won't become victims of people with devices like this who prey on the unwary.

BTW what happens if you get the polarity wrong? Does it use more fuel and produce less power?

Don't tell anyone, but this device is really a disguised "Fluctuting Ve-occitator" - a tried and proven piece of wizardry, and a lot cheaper than $42.00.

I'll sell you one for $21 and FREE postage !

Funnily enough I started to type something very similar earlier today but decided not to because he was deceased and it seemed he really believed in it but I could never see it being a goer either. Cheers
