Disco II TD5 Fuel Regulator Gasket

Rather than jump into an existing threat I thought I would make a new one.... I just bought a replacement gasket for my block assembly for the fuel pressure reulator. The gasket is not identical to the old one although it looks like it may do the job. Have they changed the design or have they changed the design of the block assembly? Do I have the right one do you think?

Regulator went from a 2 to 3 port but everything carries over including the gasket.

I just lifted this from an Ebay UK auction for the o-rings:

1x MSX100080 for Early Vehicles (upto VIN 1A736339) or MSX000010 for Later Vehicles - Which is the Gasket for the Fuel Pressure Regulator.(About £2 from your local dealer) - It's worth pointing out that early housings replaced with the later unit need the later gasket, if you're unsure of if your FPR has been replaced, get both gaskets and compare them with the block. The cutoff point here is *not* the EU02/EU03 engine type, so please check your VIN!

He is saying that there are 2 different gaskets, but it depends on the fuel reg you have.

    Cheers Mate

I am going ahead and installing . BTW I pulled the regulator out and from a good quality off the shelf combo of O rings I have replaced all so touch wood.. everything will be fine. F*** paying $300+ for a replacement when the original is servicable. Same goes for the ABS and 3 Amogos. A bit of research and a few balls and all goes away with minimal cost. I have a speadsheet here of cost savings from being conservative and setting aside some time to take care of the problems myself. I just hope I am close to finishing LOL.

Is yours actually leaking just from a gasket?

I know nothing about these things apart from one of ours is leaking from a small hole on the round part ? (sorry no other way I can describe). I imagine there is some form of rubber diaphram inside the round part/ can that be replaced.? I can see from under the car its held in by a circlip.

If it drips from the vent hole it's most likely just the o ring that seals the cap. The nitrile seal usually goes hard and causes the leak hence replacement with viton.
This is the large oring in the kit. A good set of circlip pliers removes the cover.
