    Cooler replacement

Just picked up a Transmission cooler from a P38 to fit to my 300TDI Disco. I'll need to do some work on the hose's as the existing ones come up from underneath vs out the side on the P38 cooler. The question is will the fittings be the same at the cooler end so I can just replace the rubber hose's in between with longer sections. I'm thinking of using compression fittings on the steel pipes coming from the gearbox and push on fittings for the hose.
    Thanks
    Mark

Get the hose Dr onto it, or eNzed.
You can give them the original steel pipes and they will renew the HP hoses.
Looking at the original fittings at either end they can make it up as required.

What are the likely costs? I have td5 d2a and a p38 cooler I want to fit and wouldn't mind an idea of costs for changing fittings and making up hoses.

I got Enzed to replace the rubber sections on my D1 cooler pipes about 18 months ago. They had to cut the old ends off, braze on some new ones and fit the rubber sections. Cost about $120 all up for the 2 pipes.

Same same, I have a 98 tdi Disco auto with the same P38 cooler for the auto and Mr Enzed made up new rubber hoses to my stipulated lengths with new ends to suit the hard lines coming from the auto and the connections on the P38 cooler and it cost $180. That was a bit over 18 mths ago.

    Cheers
