Thread: Viton rear main seal 3.9- source?

Seeing that I'm having to take the transmission out of my 1991RR, it's time to replace the leaky rear main seal. I've been looking for a Viton seal for the job, have not been able to find a local supplier. Anyone know where I'll get a Viton seal for 3.9 rear crankshaft?
When i built my 4.4, I had the engine out of the vehicle 3 times trying to fix rear main leaks with standard (nitrile) seals, before someone put me onto a Viton seal that did the job. The parts bloke who supplied me with that seal has come up blank this time.

Try Fred Smith in Bayswater, 97204999. I've got Viton seals from him for other stuff. I'm sure he'll at least know wether you can get one or not.
