Had the windscreen replaced earlier in the week. Today replaced the lift pump. All was going well till I ripped the gasket. Made up a new one with some Manila folder. All good now, no leaks of anything. Just need to sort some tyres and it's ready for roadworthy.
After some tests with some remaps, with and without EGR assembly on a Disco SII TD5, I have take off finally the valve (Eu2). While it is far more smooth with the EGR fitted, the response, performance and fuel economy are better without.
Extra fuel tank for the 110 only 40L but better than a couple of jerrycans:)

Did a service - oil / filters / lube job. I knew things were going to go pear shape when it takes you 20minutes to get the spinon oil filter on. Was tightening up the bolts for the rotor filter when I stripped the threads on one of the bolts. Could not believe it - it did not even begin to feel like it was tightning when it occured. For once I had the correct tap for the job but lucky for me the bolt hole had threads deeper down - found a bolt of correct size and threads and put it back together - happy days.

Pulled the rear door card off so I could open the rear door to get my tools out to pull the rocker cover on solutionxs Td5 D2 to clean up the injector plugs as it was running rough.
Still is, failed injectors it seems as the harness is brand new :(
So it's sitting behind mine until he can collect it.
Better not spend too much time with mine, his has bad habits :p
Cleaned out the blower fan aftsr listening to the crickets chirping for the last two years. Best 15minutes you'll ever spend!
