Loaded just under $4000 worth of grog in the back and forgot to take a photo :( so it didn't really happen but the newly installed cargo barrier showed its benefits!
Suspension didn't drop much either, 32 cases of beer+wine & spirits are no match for a Landy :)

Fitted Pirelle ATR's to the D2 in place of the Maxxis A/T's . WOW! It goes around corners now!:D and on the gravel too! And gave it a wash and polish, well did that 2 days ago so its dirty again! ;)
Put my set of C/Contacts - original wheels/rims back on for the Xmas trip. Should get better mileage and a much quieter ride :D. But I hate the look of them, might have to paint the rims black I think.
Fitted a set of ARB side steps to the D2a. Makes it so much easier for the ladies to get in and out of now and I can now get to the roof bars a lot easlier.

Is the cargo barrier a stock item or did you make one yourself? I'm looking at making one for my SIII LWB hard top using what appear to be unused seat belt mounting points.Quote:

Continued with front axle rebuild on my 1954 Series one. Have a set of RRC 3.54:1 diff centres to go back in that also come loaded with air lockers.

Had a good day today on the Rover. Super cheap had a sale on and I bought 28m of Dyna what ever it's called to replace the SWR. Fitted a new fairlead as well. I fitted 2x tool boxes under the rear 1/4s (thanks Blknight for the tip) I'll use them to store POLs. They are just 2 $10 Bunnings toolboxes. I fitted 4 rivnuts each side and just bolted them up high. Should work a treat.
Best of all, I replaced both rear half shafts and the "A" frame ball joint, as I had a heap of slop in the rear end and now she runs and change gears like a new one. I also fitted the new springs last weekend and the back end is much firmer, I just hope it's better while towing.
All in all, I had a good Saturday. I'm not looking forward to going back to work. It gets in the way of doing stuff to my car!!!
