Thread: Fuel hose for coolant

Can you use fuel hose to replace the hose running from the thermostat housing and radiator to the expansion tank? I couldn't find anywhere that had suitable coolant or heater hose, but I was able to get some fuel hose.

I have seen fuel hose used but I've also seen it go rock hard in this service. Some people have recommended auto trans cooler hose instead. Any auto parts shop that has a Mackay catalogue should be able to order the correct 8mm heater hose though, I keep a roll on the shelf at all times, just for the D2's and P38's that snap their placcy bits...
