    D2 V8 slow to start

On first startup (and after work)the D2 requires 4-6 seconds of cranking before it "misses" then runs fine.
I was told there was some form of non-return valve in the system but RAVE says otherwise.

Its not obviously leaking fuel, and I would think it would need an air leak to cause the fuel to return to the tank??

I suppose it would be cured by replacing the pump,,,

The non-return valve is part of the pump motor, it is not a separate part. The best way to start is to let the pump run as long as possible before hittting the starter, ie put the ignition on 2-3 times for 3 secs then start. Someone else recently posted about exactly the same problem and the workaround.
