I use an R380 reverse switch. It fits the flywheel housing ok and you can hear the plunger click into place in the flywheel. So far it has survived undoing and doing up the crank bolt.
wow a switch?! that's amazing, i would have thought they wouldn't be built for strength at all,

FWIW, I found out last night that a (new style) ARB air locker 1/4 BSPT fitting has a 5mm hole in the middle, plus a recessed o-ring which helps hold the 5 mm drill bit I used in place!
