    Fuel delivery D2

    car has only done 100K
    but last 20K has had gas injection.
    It currently taking around 5 seconds of cranking to start,
    and "priming" the system makes no difference,
    the first sign of life is a miss,
    no obvious smells or signs of a leak,

    RAVE says theres a schrader valve in the delivery system,,
    has anyone seen/can locate this? but I'd imagine if this was faulty
    there'd be fuel everywhere,,

    The non return valve is somewhere around the pump?
    would the pressure reg be acting as the non-return?

    This big silver lemon is (aparently)on borrowed time,
    I would hate to replace the pump and NOT fix the problem,,,
    or rather,
    Mrs Pedro would hate it,,

    The non-return valve is integral with the pump, and is replaced with it. Has your gas system got a gas-start over ride? It usually works by holding down the changeover button before the key is turned on and until it starts. This is how one of my customers got an instant start until his pump was replaced.

    I have no idea,,
    its a sprint injection system.
    I thought all the button did was turn the gas system off,,

    Sure do .... for about twice the distance the V8 will do on a tank !

    ... but how do you get a silver lemon to pump fuel Pedro ?
