Mate do a search. Pretty sure Ranga just did a group buy up QLD way for a tank under the seat.
Hello All,
I am interested to know if anyone knows of a company that makes water tanks that fit under the rear seats of the LR Defender 110.. My current setup has the water tank in the back but it is taking up space which would be better used for toys
Having the water tank under the rear seat seems logical to me.. low centre of weight etc...
Regards,
Jimmy.

Ranga's group buy was for 130 tanks wasn't it?

I have thought about having a water tank under my 110's rear seat too, but then i'd have to find a new home for the hi-lift, shovel, axe etc.
Keen to see what you come up with.
Oops so it was. Is there much of a difference between the 110 & 130?

Considerable difference, 130s have an enclosed box/locker, whilst 110s have open space and not a lot of height beneath. The 110 seats also fold forward so have some bracketry towards the ends of the seat. Oh, and just a difference between 110s, Defenders have a split fold seat whereas Counties have a single bench seat.
Give chris a call at abbertanks.com.au and I'm sure he'll be able to custom make you a tank for the right price. Mention the land rover forum and he might cut you a deal.

This is another option for water tanks. Tanks which fit into this position are available off the shelf.

Looking for a solution myself, the cheapest option I'm considering at the moment is a flexible tank to fit under the rear seats.
Flexitank | Pillow Tanks | ContainerPac | 4WD & SUV Vehicle Flexitanks | Inflatable Marker Buoys | Flotation Devices
So will be easily removable when not required, or left there, as it won't weigh much...
I looked at going down that path, but turned out to be more expensive than a custom made tank for under the rear seats of the 130 for $240. My tank also has baffles, and I suspect is a lot tougher and less prone to puncture. I admit a bladder would be easier to remove, but given I have baby seats, I can't really get to the space under the rear seats anyway.
Then there's the other question of attaching plumbing to the bladder.
Also, my custom plastic tank is really light (probably ~5kg)
Have you fitted yours yet Ranga? How did you go with the plumbing? I cut a hole in the side of mine on the weekend to fit a filler point, and cut the holes in the box for the inlets/outlets. All going well, but finding suitable flexible fuel filler hose doesn't appear easy. I'm hoping to mold some silicone hose after a hot water bath.
I regret not making the inlet a much larger fitting size (its 3/4") - should have been more like 1-1/2". I think it is going to be a really slow fill.
