No, are you running longer than standard shocks?? What springs are in?

aftermarket springs 2"lift bilstin shocks to suit. i thought maybe they were dislocating but it will bang and clang just going down a gutter and at full flex there still firmly seated . should there be a rubber insulater?

No rubber insulator from factory, but maybe worth trying one to shut it up, it is the coil 'rotating' while compressing and releasing. Comes from having the bottom restrained from movement by the clamping straps therefore the top will move. Have you tried possibly dropping the shocks off and lowering the spring down, and shoving a ring of urethane about 3mm thick (Cut from a cheap kitchen chopping board or similar) in there?

I think mine do that too. occsionally I get a sort of harmonic vibration that sounds like a spring noise. Ive tried to isolate the sound by removing the tow hitch (no change), and also by removing my undertray drawer that contains recovery gear. (still no change). The sound will be there for maybe a month, then gone for a month or two or three. Springs rotating and coming onto contact with each other was the only other thing I could think of. I'll try any reasonable remedy, so I'll have a go at Justins first. Thanks Justin.

You might find that the springs are tight on the upper spring perch.I have this problem with mine, where the spring fits tightly around the edge of the perch, and makes all sorts of noises.I sanded the paint from the inner edge of the top coil where it rubs on the perch and also ended up grinding the lip on the perch slightly thinner so that the coil wasn't tight.
