anyone?
hey all,
what is the King pin inclination angle on a rover coil sprung housing?
what is the measurement from wheel mounting surface to the intersection of the king pin center line and axle shaft center line?
cheers,
Serg
anyone?
unless you're modding them, nothing you need to worry about, you cant easily change them.
so long as its the same left and right you're apples

interested in scrub radius...I want to do some scale drawings and see where tyre dia and wheel offset and other things change this point...
righto, I see where you're going with this..
from memory king pin inclination is 0, castor angle is about 3 degrees., measured off of the spare rangie axle I have in the back yard its 120mm from the center of the king pin to the mounting face.
edit
some quick googling shows it to be 4 or 8 degrees for KPI...
Id trust this one.

which has it at 8 degrees.

Dave,
How did you measure the 120mm from the king pin to wms?
Did you go from the centre of the top/bottom bearing or did you draw a line between the two and go from half way between them?
To get 0 degree's of king pin inclination wouldn't the upper and lower swivel bearings sit directly above/below each other?
Eric
just eyeballed it with a ruler off of the center of the top king pin to the face if the drive flange...
measuring the way I did it the 4 or 8 degrees of offset wouldnt have made much difference.
