Anyone know where to look for D2 air conditioning electric clutch components. My A/C clutch bearing collapsed taking out the electric coil winding ... maybe more?
I can find and replace the bearing to be drivable OK (to support fan belt pulley without air conditioning) but the clutch engagement coil windings are broken and I'm not sure if other A/C clutch pieces are missing, broken or beyond repair - it seems to assemble without a proper connection between the component with female spline in centre (held on by a bolt into the tip of the A/C axis) and the outer clutch/thrust plate mounted beneath it (maybe these should be in one piece, or maybe a large washer should sit inside the clutch/thrust plate keeping it centralised - mine has no washer there and the outer clutch/thrust plate can wobble sideways on the component with the female spline).
So secondhand front end of A/C unit or component supplier would be good.
