Stick with sealant and a bolt- the logic is that these days the coolant stays where it is for a two odd years whereas the taps were for when you needed to drain and flush on a more regular basis.
G'day Guys
On the weekend i replaced the radiator in the old defender along with coolant and few other parts.
Well today I thought i would check to make sure there was no leaks, as its the wifes/family car.Well I noticed I didn't do up the coolant drain bolt on the engine (ERC9410) enouph as there was a few little drops nothing serious so I decided to give it a little tightning and well the bolt head snapped off little to much elbow grease
Anyway after a few choosen words I managed to get the remander of the thread out.I was just wondering if anybody had fitted a tap like on the series landrovers or even if it was possible as iam now in the market for a new drain bolt.
This is the drain tap Iam talking about Turner Engineering 602915 Drain Tap Block

Well after a few phone calls Ive managed to source a second hand bolt as no one seems to keep these in stock.
As I seem to be the only idiot to ever snap one
But as always great service from the two local LR suppliers I use MR & BOR![]()
