ABS Range Rover Question
Hello! I need some advice about the ABS system on a '92 RR. I spent yesterday doing some off road fun out in the Newnes state forest near Lithgow. Loads of fun. Everything went perfectly until i was about halfway home, when the ABS pump started to whir. Normally when you start the vehicle the ABS kicks in, you get the ABS light on the dash while the system goes through its checks, the pump starts, and then when you hit 40km/h the dash lights go off and the pump ceases. This all happened as normal when I left Lithgow, but about 25km later the pump started up again and continued till I got home. The strange thing was that even after the ignition was turned off the pump continued to operate. The only way I could stop it was to disconnect the battery. There was no loss in braking power as i would expect if he system had failed. I am wondering if a solenoid might be the problem, or if anyone can offer any advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers and thanks for your help.

G`day , could be the relay for the pump , it could be under the pass seat .
The system can be plugged into a diagnostic machine or there is a blink code that can be used , forget the details of how to but the system has its own diagnostics , i don`t mean the system your`ve mentioned i mean you count the number of flashes and relate that .

Hello PLR, I've been going through he repair manual this arvo and started to think about the relays. I have located them under the passenger seat, so with a bit of luck I'll be on the right track. Thanks heaps for your help. Cheers.
