Thread: Thomas Winch Bullbar Looking for mounting Pics

Hi All

Looking for ideas for a new bull bar to go with my old but effective Thomas PTO winch on my '85 County.

Prefer a traditional ARB style bar but anyone who has a Thomas winch will Know that you have to mount it to the winch frame, as the winch frame is mounted to the chassis rails where you would normally fix the bullbar.

Anyone modded an ARB full double loop type to fit? Hesitant to spend to find out have to remodel to fit- so much may as well have started from scratch.

Could probably fabricate up a tube type but prefer the traditional type for protection from roos, etc.

Anyone recessed the winch back into the grill? i.e. cut out winch sized hole in grill, shorten driveshaft, etc. My A/C is long gone and looks a good option, and will reclaim some lost front clearance. Good to hear from someone who has done it.

My old TJM bar never fitted any good way too far forward.

Search my PTO install. I modified a TJM bar. I also thought about recessing the winch into the grill but as always I left everything to the last minute
