Thread: Defender front diff

Hi all,

Was wondering where I can find an overhaul manual for a Rover style front diff on a 96 defender. I presume (maybe foolishly) that they are relativly the same as a disco diff. I have the workshop manual for the defender, but it doesn't show the set up procedure for the front diff. The disco one does.

Phil, Use the Disco manual if it has the section on setting up the diff centre (pinion height and backlash) . If you have trouble, send me a PM, I may be able to help. I have a magnetic base and dial indicator if you need one....Brian
