    Lucas 16 ACR which control box?

    I am fitting a Lucas 16 ACR alternator my Series LR, and can't find the original control box, anyone have any idea of the correct one or a substitute box that may be able to be used (Holden, Falcon, etc).

    If it's an ACR it has an internal regulator.No control box required.

    Well that solves that one!

    It was given to me with a Lucas control box which I cannot find--I wonder what it was to?

    I don't know the 16ACR but on the 14AC and 15AC versions you can see the regulator through the case end, usually a big round power transistor. On one 14AC I rewired the brush box so I could use an external Bosch RE55 regulator off a mid 70's Bosch system. Not hard to do if you are handy with a soldering iron.
