    Engine Additives?

    Just wondering if anyone has heard of a yank product called engine Restore. or if anyone knows if its sold in OZ. It apparantley is about the only product that has real affect on piston slap, with out any worrys.

    I tried a can when my cam was getting loud, it did quieten it down for a month, until i could get all the parts together to do the overhaul.

    But after the overhaul, I'm back on Valvoline with added ZDDP 20/50 and never looked back.

    Other than that, if you bores are worn, i doubt a can of miracle goo can really make up the difference.

    Supposedly contains spherical particles of Copper, Silver and lead that are smaller than 10 um in diameter restore with csl - Bob Is The Oil Guy
    so you are pouring small bits of bearing metal into the engine.
    How that is supposed to adhere to the parts that need it and not to where you really don't want it (most nearly everywhere) i'm not sure.

    BTW, Molakule on that forum is one very smart cookie.
